The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body. ACCA has two programs for individuals interested in careers in accounting and finance: the Professional Scheme and the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) program.
What is CAT?
ACCA’s Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification is a combination of study and practical experience, designed to build your knowledge in accountancy, IT and management. To achieve the CAT qualification, you will need to complete a combination of 9 exams and one-year's practical experience. The qualification is extremely flexible which will allow you to take control of how and where you study. For the ambitious who wish to pursue their career further, completion of the CAT qualification will give exemption from the first three papers of the ACCA Professional Scheme Qualification and help you pursue your career towards becoming a professionally-qualified accountant.

Who is eligible for the CAT qualification?
The qualification is accessible to anyone aged 16 years or older. Those who have passed 10th grade or the O' Level can join the CAT program.
What is the structure of the qualification?
The CAT syllabus comprise a range of relevant and detailed subject areas designed to test the knowledge skills and understanding you will need to work in accountancy support roles. There are nine papers in total.
